4fi.  The Case Against Evolution – Is Evolution Fact or Belief ?

Can Life come from non-life?

a) Some believe that fossils indicate that life evolves from non-life, but this is not supported by the paleontological evidence.

·   The theory is that something triggered a primordial soup to create a living cell; that cells gathered into more complex organisms

and eventually evolved into man

·   All forms of life from blue-green algae to man appear abruptly in the fossil record without any evidence of links.

·   There are no known examples of the missing links. All fossils found to date are either: Man or Ape, Fake or Mistake.

·   If evolution were a fact, the evidence would be in great abundance and clearly irrefutable.  All evidence to date is very far from conclusive

·   The evidence of man evolving from Apes is totally without supporting evidence.

·   Both have existed “as is” from the beginning.

·   Evolution is mythology.  If it were a science it would agree with the observable evidence.

b) Microbiological evidence and Genetics indicate that natural selection only eliminates the novelties, which the mutation can

create. It does not determine mutations.  It has a stabilizing effect on life.

·   Present organisms did not derive from predecessors, which are now extinct.  They both existed together and some were eliminated by

 natural selection.

·   There is no way for a small organism to become Man.  Even the simplest organisms are incredibly complex and cannot be derived from

simple forms, so this means that all organisms have been complex from the beginning. Fact is that wherever cells are found, they are extremely

complex.  There is no evidence of a simple cell anywhere.

·   The apparatus in the cell nucleus for making enzymes, is identical from bacteria to Man.  The mechanism of life has never changed.

·   Proves that biochemical evolution has never taken place.  Cannot be supported by genetic data at all.

·   Observing the human DNA and comparing it with other species indicates that Man is unique and not therefore derived from some other

creature.

c) Stratification in Sedimentary Rocks can only be interpreted in light of the horizontal formation of layers, which sort themselves out into banks

of strata.  Strata provide no indication of age.  Strata are caused by changes in water currents and form sideways

·   Three fourths of all the land on Earth is sedimentary rock, which was formed under the sea.

·   Fossilize trees vertically set across multiple banks of strata prove that those banks were not formed over large periods of

·   time.  Birmingham, Alabama coal fields have examples of fossilized tree across many strata of sedimentary rock.

·   Banks consist of several Strata of different size particles sorted out vertically according to their size and repeated.

·   Sometimes there is a spacing between the small particles of one layer and the larger particles in the next layer above it.

·   Johannas Walta late 1800s discovered that the order of deposits vertically just off shore, were the same as those still forming laterally out

in the Bay of Naples.  He reasoned that layers were forming laterally and sorting themselves out into banks according to their size.  The part

nearest the coast is older than the banks farther out in the bay. He removed some vertical cores, which showed banks from successive layers;

but the bottom banks in those cores were not older than the upper banks as was believed previously.

·   In old basins that have filled up with sediment, the layering results from the sea not always being at the same level.  Rising water level (transgression) causes sediments to deposit parallel to the sloping basins, with the largest particles next to the slope.  When the water regresses

the sediments deposit with the smallest particles next to the slope.  The position of the deposits indicates how the water level has changed over time.

·   The position of the deposits is not the result of superposition and continuity, but rather according to the lateral deposition explained above.

·   Worldwide basins all follow this pattern indicating that there was a global rising & falling of water level, as if from massive tidal waves

carrying large amounts of sediments.

·   In the deep sea cores (1970-1980s Glomar Challenger) we find evidence that those deposits also follow the same pattern of lateral deposition.

All evidence to date indicates that all sedimentary deposits have formed laterally, i.e. parts of the same layer can be the same age, even though

they are formed at various depths.  The oceans formed as continents spilt apart and water flowed across the land into the forming sea.  This

created the same strata along the ocean floor as we see forming now offshore.

·   1980 Mt St Helens erupted and 600 feet of sediment formed and dried into rocks with strata within hours.  It flattened a forest and caused a

tidal wave in a local lake. As a result of this explosion, huge amounts of mud flowed thru these rocks and carved a canyon 200 feet wide and 100

feet deep, within several hours.  The exposed layering looks just like the grand canyon strata and would have been explained in the same manner if

we have not been there to see how it really happened.

·   Lab experiments show that sand flowing continuously automatically sorts itself out into layers according to particle sizes.  Higher flow speeds

allow the smaller particles to be deposited. Grading of particles in strata is not just the result of layers of sediment piling up on top of each, but can

be due to the speed of the current when the particles were deposited.

·   Surface sediments deep under the sea never harden.  If the sea level drops to expose these sediments, then joints occur between some of the strata, as part of the drying process, not due to a disruption in the flow.  As a result, we now know that strata and joints between some banks of

strata, provide no indication of age!

·   Lab experiments indicate that the moment of Inertia of the particles is the key discriminator in determining how it will deposit from a

flowing layer.  The smaller particles fall to the bottom and coarse particles roll on top of them, when they have the same specific gravity.  The

laminate thickness increases with the flow rate.  Same layering/lamination with or without a surrounding fluid.  It only depends on the size, shape

and density of the particles.

·   Clear stratification is observed under a continuous supply of flowing sand particles. Layers of incoming sediment have been wrongly

identified as strata.

·   The scale of geological time and the chronological succession of fossils have been wrongly calculated on the mistaken belief that strata are successive layers of sediment.

·   Instead, a single layer can sort itself out into parts of many different strata according to the mass properties of the particles it contains.

·   Sea creatures living at different sea levels can be buried within those levels at the same time, by a single layer of sediment.

·   Then, after much layering, the observed strata contain the same creatures according to their ecological zones.  But, all the creatures buried

across many strata could easily have been living at the same time, in different ecological zones.

d) How old is the Earth.  How can we date the rocks?

·   The amount of radioactive carbon 14 remaining after the living organism dies as compared to the amount of stable carbon 12 found in

that organism, has been used to date the organism (5760 years = half life).  Only works for living matter and not for fossils that have turned

into stone 100%.

·   Sedimentary rock may contain fossils but rarely contains radioactive elements.

·   Crystaline and volcanic rocks do contain radioactive elements.

·   The amount of lead in a sample is compared to the amount of Uranium in that sample, to indicate how long the Uranium has been

decaying into lead.  However, we don’t know if the sample contained lead from another source when it was formed.  Nor do we know how

much of the Uranium was washed out as a soluble salt, in the presence of water.

·   A worldwide flood would have made all these dating methods useless.

·   EG Hawaii volcano erupted in 1801, yet samples were dated by K – Ar method to be 22 million years old.  Regardless of how old the lava

was, the dating process intends to date how long ago it turned into rock.  However, unless we know for sure the original element concentrations

and the amount of radioactive salts lost due to solubility over time, all of these radiometric dating techniques are easily invalidated.

·   Also, the rate of decay may not have been the same in the past as it is now.  The production of neutrinos from cosmic radiation could

have been enhanced by a nearby supernova or from a reversal in the earth’s magnetic field.

·   There are several natural processes that date the earth to be rather young:

o                            If the Earth’s magnetic field has in fact been decreasing with time as thought, then only 10,000 years ago it would have been too

strong a field to allow for life.

o                            Cosmic dust from outer space falling on the Moon should be much deeper, ie many meters thick vs only a few cm

·   Big Bang hypothesis was constructed to support evolution theory, so it falls with evolution theory.

e) Genetics research indicates that no new genes have been produced.

·   What is claimed to be evidence for evolution is the fact that every organism has parents and there was a time when no life existed.

Hence, life should have come from non-life.

·   The science of genetics shows that such change is impossible.

·   Main argument is that small mutations occur in the reproduction cells and are retained by natural selection.  They say that these

mutations accumulate and over time cause a species to gradually change into another species.

·   All labs have never produced improvements through mutations. All mutations are neutral or harmful.  Natural processes will attempt to

correct any mutation in the next reproduction.

·   The varieties come from recombination.  From the mixing of genes during sexual reproduction.  Organisms adapted to a set of conditions

re-concentrate into an environment that has these conditions. By interbreeding they will form a different  “variety” of the same species.

·   If by accident a population is isolated, some features may concentrate in that population and give it a distinct appearance, which we call

“genetic drift”.

·   These varieties do not indicate evolution.  Some genes have been sorted out and the remaining population is impoverished, with fewer

genes.  No new genes have been formed.  No new genetic information has been created.

·   By selection and isolation, we obtain new varieties of the existing plants and animals.  We select those we find useful, but these

populations are restricted in the genetic pool and are dependent on the conditions we have legislated.  Without our control they will either die

out or return to their wild state.

·   Mixing of genes natural or unnatural do not produce new genes.  There is no process (isolation, selection, breeding, or mutation) known to

science that will produce new genes.

·   Evolutionists cannot provide any ideas on how new genetic information can be produced. They are unwilling to accept the fact that genes

contain such a mass of information that it could not arise from chance events.

o                            The simplest living organism is so vastly more complicated that any non-living molecular structure, that the gap is too difficult to

leap in a single, accidental step.  Never in the past could there have been a “simple” organism.  The very complex DNA, RNA, and protein

replicating system in the cell must have been perfect from the start, or life systems could not exist.

o                            Every microscopic cell is so precisely programmed that an intelligence must have created it.

Conclusions:  Evolution Theory is Not a Scientific Conclusion

- Rock Strata form sideways and cannot be used to date fossils found in them.

- Missing links have never been found.

- Fossil species can no longer be arranged into evolutionary trees.

- Radiometric dating schemes are too easily thwarted by unknown initial conditions, unknown conditions over time,

potentially changing rates of decay, and water solubility.

- No process we know of can produce new genetic material.

- Natural Selection only eliminates genetic material.

- Recombination through sexual reproduction causes adaptations within same species.
