Explanation for the significance of a Seventh Day Sign
Why would God create a 3D universe of a lower order (ie
less dimensions) than the one He had already created for the angels?
The
simple answer is this.
God
only created this 3D universe because it was an essential step in order to
realize His eternal plan for a perfect kingdom of heaven for His intelligent,
free-willed, thinking angelic beings.
The 6-day creation was His method for creating this temporary stage for
the pre-existing angelic beings to watch the Great Controversy play out. Once they have observed all the
ramifications of choices they will fully understand "good" and
"evil" as God does. Then and
only then can they know which choices will lead to self-destruction and which
will not. Then they will never make
those choices that we call "evil" and so sin will never arise again.
Think
of “good” as the set of all the choices that would enhance life. God only wants good for His created beings.
Think
of “evil” as the set of all the choices that would move us towards
self-destruction, albeit that many of them are seemingly benign.
This
drama is God’s only way to educate His angelic beings about evil and good
without them doing evil and incurring the wages of sin that eventually
follow. They can learn all about evil
with all its permutations and subtleties from watching this drama play out
generation after generation. This
staged drama is so important that the fate of the entire angelic universe
hinges on the audience learning what they must learn from it. Therefore, God created a 7th day in His
week just to "remember" this drama. Even after the stage and the entire 3D universe we live in is
gone (Rev 6:14
& 2Peter 3:7-12, Rev 20:11 & 21:1) the angelic beings will continue to
"Remember" all the situations they observed and they will retain
their full understanding of evil.
God's
7th Day is His technique for routinely remembering all this.
While
the drama is playing out here, we are to remember that God is the Creator and
that He has a plan for our salvation. The
rotating Earth is a clock. Each Day is one rotation of this Earth regardless of
the Sun. Remember that in 6 days He
created our universe for a very important purpose and He wants us to remember
that. Remember that creating this
universe in 6 turns of our planet requires a God, Who works miracles - it
cannot be explained otherwise. So, instead
of just stopping with a 6-day week, He created an extra day, specifically for
us to remember why He created what He did during the first 6. The idea is to stop doing whatever we
normally do and make it a point to do this.
It is not just a matter of doing no "work", because that is
relative. [It's sort of like not eating
meat on Friday, when you like fish anyway.]
Work is not absolute in that what is work for me maybe fun for
others. Again, the idea is to avoid
being distracted from remembering that there is a Creator God with a plan to
build and maintain a perfect kingdom of heaven for His created, free-willed,
thinking beings, who want to have an ongoing relationship with Him.
After
this drama is over, He must re-create this Earth in His 4D angelic universe so
that the clock continues. The need to
remember the drama and what happened here is critical to all of those in the
audience and it will be just as critical to us, when we get there, too. Everyone in this angelic universe must
remember the drama in that they must retain their understanding of evil. Note that of course we did not see the
drama, so we are not fully prepared to live in the perfect kingdom of heaven
immediately after we are translated into angelic form on the Last Day (1 Cor 15: 50-52 & 1
Thes 4:13-18). We would surely make some innocent, naive
decisions that would cause sin to arise again as it did in the angelic universe
originally. This is why we must first
spend time "off-line" with the "Glorified Risen Christ" on
the New Jerusalem (a kind of spaceship moving through the 4D universe). There we will "judge" angels and
this world (1
Cor 6: 2,3; Rev 20:4-6). This means that we will
review the archives and will learn what the angelic audience has learned from
watching in realtime. Then after the
1000 years is ended, we will land on the New 4D Earth and that will be our base
of operations (Rev 21:2,3)
Now,
recall that the 7th Day was made for Man, it did not exist before our 6-day
creation.
This
universal solution did not exist before our universe was created.
In
fact there was never a perfect angelic universe where sin did not eventually
arise. Again, “Sin” is just the
consequences of making choices that will lead to self-destruction. It is a self-destructive cancer that will
survive as long as the host it feeds off survives. Yet the host must eventually die. The wages of sin is "Death". The universe with sin must
eventually self-destruct, and while it persists, there is "war" in
heaven. As such previous angelic
universes may have been created over and over again, but each of them would
have self-destructed eventually.
Finally, in one of these iterations after a third of the angelic being
had fallen, God invoked a totally new scenario. God decided to create a surrogate universe made in the image of
that 4D angelic universe. He made it a
little lower (3D), so the angelic beings could watch and learn from it as we
would a movie.
Now
realize that this 7th Day is critical to all God's intelligent, free-willed,
thinking beings now and forever after, if we are to live happily ever after in
the kingdom of heaven. Hence there must
now and forever after be a clock in that kingdom to mark out the 7th Day (Rev
21:1-3) and we will be there one day, because this New Earth (the Clock) will
be our new home. Then
every seventh rotation, from one Sabbath to the next, all creation will
remember the lessons learned from watching the Sin Drama play out here on
earth; and sin will never need to arise again (Isa 66:23). This is the “eternal” Gospel message, which
applies to all time, not just to ours.
Hence,
after our human universe passes away, the universe where the angels dwelt
before the creation of this universe, will continue to exist but with these
differences:
1) The Image of God in the angel
universe will have Holes in His Hands
2) The Planet Earth will be re-created in that universe as the New Earth.
3) The Image of God's Headquarters (Jerusalem) will be moved to this new Earth
4) Humans will be re-created as angelic beings and will live on this new Earth
with the Image of God
5) The SABBATH, which was first instituted for Humans, will be kept by all
angelic beings
